7.1 Customer Custom Fields

Customer custom fields are the custom fields that your customer might require to be shown on a particular invoice. For Eg: A video rental place might want to show the branch name of a particular. This can be done by accessing the customer custom fields.

  1. Navigate to System>>Customer care>>Customer Settings

  2. Enter the names of the field required and their description which acts as a tool tip when hovered over the field. You can have upto 10 custom fields for every customer.

Fig 12.1 shows the Customer Custom fields

3. The access you want to provide to your customer depends on the configuration settings in “Customer Access” section

Read Only Access will not allow the customer to edit the custom fields

Read Write Access will allow the customer to edit the custom fields.  

Fig 12.2 shows the how the Customer will have Access to these fields.
