1.21 Email Notifications

These settings control how email is sent to your customers. Contact your email administrator to create an email account (such as billing@yourcompany.com') and use those values here.

• 1. Navigate to System>>Configuration>>Email Configuration

2. The fields are explained below

• • • • Username: Enter the email id from which the mail needs to be sent. We would suggest you to preferably enter the mail id from which you normally send or plan to send out invoices to you clients. For Eg: billing@acme.com

      • Password: Enter the password of the email id you entered above

      • Confirm Password: Please confirm the password entered above

      • Server: Enter the smtp server details here. For eg: smtp.gmail.com

      • Port: Enter the outgoing mail port number here. For eg: Gmail uses 465 or 25 as the outgoing mail port number.

      • From Address: Enter the email id from which the mail needs to be sent here again as entered for Username

      • From Name: This denotes a psuedo name which acts like a mask to the email id entered for ‘From Address’ For Eg: If your from address is billing@acme.com the the psuedo can be ‘Acme Ltd’

      • BCC To: This field can have comma separated email ids which you would like to have bcc’d to. For Eg: cfo@acme.com, accounts@acme.com.etc

      • Reply To: This field can have the email id to which your customer can reply to mail sent from the above entered email id. For Eg: you can have your customers reply to a mail id like accounts@acme.com or billing.supervisor@acme.com.etc

      • Disable All Customer mails: This field when ticked will disable all mails sent to your customers.

      • Billing Administration Email List: This field can have email ids to which you can have all mails sent from the system to be sent to these mail ids as well.

      • SMTP Properties: This fields needs to have the smtp properties entered without which no mails will be sent from the system. We suggest you to get in touch with your system admin for these details.

3. After all the fields are entered, you can test your setting by clicking on ‘Send Test Mail’
4. You must see a message as below which means that you have configured everything correctly
